Meaning accumulates if you assent
accumulates if you try not to assent
accumulates if you just watch or wait
to be reborn a thousand times while waiting

meaning accumulates in plum blossoms
in significance recurring in language
designed to an end meaning accumulates
& stages its flaw-sculpted drama

oh beauty of setting aside the immensely
minuscule question of the day the hour
the fragrance of "hour" the detail
of transference that aimless awakens

this what is possession? what is mechanics?
what ails you sister - brother - holy being?
this uncertain quiescence struggling to
situate its perpetuity inside a question

it is your where goes my soul?
that moves me to drip unpolished
dreams to protest irrational hatreds
like anti-ice counter-color subter-sapiens

the movements of riverine clock-hands
over dubious polysemious soap-sands
a shadow without shape or moment
where aspirations move across one another

worlds must intersect so love can be
thought known pulverized revived &
ventured quixotic cubistic aquamarine
in pitch & sailing & sailing on

meaning accumulates where worlds make
intersection occur where the sound of a
name not dissected dissects itself & pours
a flourish of reed-bodied arts into being…
