SENTIDO > BROADCAST MEDIA

Sentido anticipates increasing convergence between moving and broadcast media and the static, readable internet. It is with this in mind that we have begun planning the launch of a "Sentido TV" digital platform for online posting and reader download of moving news footage and reporting.

Sentido is also planning podcasts, short digital audio news segments designed to be downloaded onto your PC or Mac for listening on your MP3-equipped audio player. Sentido's podcast format is still in development, and each segment will likely be preceded by a short, 10-second commercial advertisement, with the aim of ensuring our podcasts remain free of charge and within Sentido's overall production budget.

What is already clear, however, at this early stage, is that Sentido will bring to its audience, by way of future podcasts, a thorough but selective round-up of news items from around the world, with a view to painting a picture of issue-based circumstances in society and in the development of international relations and democratic institutions over time, as it currently seeks to do through this website. Tune in summer of 2006 for more...

Sentido's aim to extend its service into broadcast format multimedia stems from the belief that information is valuable in itself and that providing information over multiple channels liberates the audience that consumes such information. Sentido will not reduce its textual offerings, but will provide enhanced complementary audio-visual coverage of key stories.
